Sales Representative

Job Description: 
Achieve annual sales objectives assigned by the Sales Manager and build customer acceptance of Knoll and its products to ensure future growth through increased market penetration and new market development. Key responsibilities include:;
  • Drive sales through product knowledge, customer service, and problem solving
  • Follow-up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity and advertising insertions
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
  • Identify and resolve client concerns
  • Participate in marketing events and trade shows as requested
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback through field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Manage all sales and order procedures including scheduling, product knowledge, presentation, quoting, order/sample processing, lead-time management, and customer service
  • Achieve goals through effective sales generation, attending/hosting design events, and expense management
  • May require overnight travel to potential and existing clients

Educational Requirements: 
BA/BS Marketing/Business degree preferred.

Experience Requirements: 
  • Requires three to five years sales experience, preferably in the contract furniture industry
  • Strong interpersonal communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, managers, outside contacts, and corporate office
